Isenseven New Teaser
by Kat Maponyane on Feb.26, 2010, under Boardriders TV, General, Snow
The Isenseven guys are still, and have been my favourite European film crew for the past 3 seasons. They’ve just put out they’re first teaser of the season…check it Isenseven Welcome Teaser.
Isenseven 2010 – Welcome Teaser from Vincent Urban on Vimeo.
“This is the first official Teaser for the 2010 Isenseven Video Project (offcial name is yet to be announced).
The crew spent the first months during this harsh and cold winter out almost every single day, with trips to Stockholm, Ruka, Hoch-Ybrig, Zillertal, Andermatt, Dresden, Winterberg and many other places that were blessed by the many snow storms that hit Europe lately.
Next to the usual suspects Fredrik Evensen, Ludwig Lejkner, Alex Tank, Fips Strauss, Tobi Strauss and Tom Klocker, this movie will feature Marco Smolla, who has finally recovered, new nordic friends, Gjermund Bråten and Sindre Iversen, the Swiss kids, David Bertschinger Karg and Colin Frei as well as Simon Gruber from Italy, Benni Wetscher from Austria and Gary Greenshields from Scotland, to make this the most All-European Isenseven team so far.”

Winter X Games 14 Wrap Up
by Kat Maponyane on Feb.01, 2010, under Snow
Ok so in case you guys missed it and had better things to do than be in front of the TV this past weekend, here are the highlights that you never saw.
Jenny Jones continued to push womens competition at the games and proved that her gold last year was no fluke. In my opinion, she didn’t deserve it, but whatever.
Eero Ettala is best known for his stellar video parts & his hate for contests. Check out how he put all the contest kids to shame.
All hail Halldor Helgason!! Perfect score in big air…nuff said!
Shaun White wins pipe = Broken record. It’s White against the judges these days.
Winter Wrap Up

Back 180
The sun is higher, the days are longer, every place you walk into feels like a sauna and the guy standing next to you smells like a rat just gave birth under his armpits. Pretty hard to believe winter only ended three weeks ago, yet its already a cold distant memory in the back of your head.
Even though it came late and at some stage threatened to not show up at all, it proved to be well worth the wait and arguably the most productive and progressive season South Africa has witnessed so far. Under the watchful eye of the snowboarder club, the Afriski park was longer, wider, bigger and the riding was sick to match.
Standout riders through out the course of the season included Luke Dutton (new grom on the block), Mawa Jekot, Matthew Amoretti, Marcin Jekot and the most consistent of all, Rueben Storbeck. In my opinion these dudes killed it week in and week out and showed their worth at the year’s premiere competition, the King’s Cup.
Like I said earlier though, the season is done and dusted and the only thing SA riders have to look forward to is the 1st Birthday of the Gone Skiing shop in Johannesburg and play the waiting game for the Northern Hemi snow flakes to start falling whether it be the US, or Europe.
I have no idea what the updates will be about from this point onwards. Maybe weekly parties, random lifestyle babble nonsense, could be lame, could be interesting, who knows. Check back when you’re bored, or have nothing better to kill time doing.
